classroom perspective study

this is a (nearly finished-not quite yet) mixed media collage looking into the qualities of the classroom space- wanted to show the strong link to the surrounding marshland/sea- a very outdoor-indoor feel. very horizontal timber walls and a reading/sitting area extending out into the marsh with wood slat louvres.

light study_primary school

Today, I made a 1:50 cardboard model to start to look at the qualities of light within a classroom, whilst also considering the nature of materials (potentially a warm wood or textured, horizontal bricks....very scandinavian!) These are beginning tester ideas at the start of a series of light observations. Watch this space for further light study responses.
